Maildrop

When I left the PC World to become a Mac user, part of the analysis was making sure I could do all of the things I was used to doing on a PC with a Mac instead. If you are a Mac user that works with salesforce.com on a regular basis, there are a number of free applications you should be aware of that function similar to the free tools provided by salesforce.com for PC users. Two that I would like to mention in this posting are from PocketSoap.

Maildrop - provides an easy way to copy emails from Mac Mail or Microsoft Entourage into salesforce.com. Similar to the PC counter-part from salesforce.com, you can create new Lead, Contact and Case records on the fly with Maildrop as well as send file attachments into Salesforce CRM. Emails can be related additionally to other objects such as Opportunities, Cases, etc. Maildrop is open source and is highly recommended by akaCRM for all Mac users that use Salesforce CRM.

SF3 - an Open Source OSX native application to painlessly synchronize Mac Address Book and iCal entries between the Mac and salesforce.com.
